Simple Italian Bread
Quick Italian Bread
Ingredients
- 1 package Active Dry Yeast
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 TSP sugar
- 2 TSP salt
- 5 1/2 cups all purpose flour
Instructions

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and sugar. Wait 5 min for bubbles

Add salt and 3 cups of flour, bring together to a dough adding more flour as needed.

Add Flour as needed for 6-8 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic

Place in a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour

Push dough down, put on surface, divide into 2. Make a loaf shape with seam side down. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 400

Make 4 slices across each loaf and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
