Ingredients
- 2 lbs Flank Steak Basically 1 large piece of Flank Steak
- 2 bundles Green Onions
- 3 Tsp minced fresh ginger
- 1/4 cup Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Kitchen Twine
Instructions
-
Cut the white and light green parts of the green onion. Mince to be very small pieces.
-
Place in a glass bowl.
-
Mince Ginger Add to the glass bowl with Green Onions.
-
Heat Oil until very hot but not burning.
-
Slowly and carefully add hot oil to glass bowl. Its going to create an aromatic oil.
-
Open the Flank Steak, butterfly the flank to cut it thin. Then pound it out even thinner. Cut each of the butterfly pieces in half. Ending up with 4 pieces. Salt and pepper to season.
-
Spread the oil along with chopped onion and ginger across the steaks.
-
Lay the remaining scallions/green across the steaks. Now roll the steaks and tie them into rolls.
-
Now cook the steaks. Grilling works, 425 in the oven for 40 min works. I prefer to sou vie to medium rare and then finish on a grill pan.
-
Finish with Teriyaki Glaze
