Bananas Foster

  • 4 TBSP Butter 1/2 stick
  • 3 TBSP Brown Sugar Dark works better but either will work
  • 2 Bananas Peeled, halved lengthwise and crosswise
  • dash Cinnamon
  • 2 TBSP Banana Liquor Or Banana Rum
  • 2-3 oz Light or Dark Rum Dark gives a deeper flavor


  1. Melt butter and sugar in frying pan until smooth, don't burn.
  2. Add bananas and saute over medium heat until lightly brown, turn over and cover with sauce.
  3. Remove from heat. Add Liquor and Rum and light on fire to burn alcohol
  4. Serve Warm over ice cream or pancakes
